Interview with designer Marina Karavaeva

We met Marina Karavaeva on the presentation of Look magazin ana couldn`t lose the opportunity to ask her personal opinion of what was going on

Marina, are you taking part in such kind event in Prague for the first time?

-    Yes I actually am. I have just recently come to Prague. I was very curious, how do the events like this look in Prague. So despite my business I used the opportunity to come and see the show.

Could you share with us your impressions?

-    I very liked the place, where the event took part. It`s name I guess is Obcanska Plovarna – cute place on the riverside. I can say that the organization was on a pretty good level – nice relaxing atmosphere, music, and beautiful people. It was the very thing I needed – to spend  time in a pleasant and interesting way. I was very pleased with the public appearance and presence of dress–code was also a good thing.

So you are satisfied with what you had seen?

-    Of course it a bit differs from what I am used to, but I guess it is senseless to compare this kind of events in Czech Republic and Russia. But, in general, everything was civilized. I managed to talk to interesting people. From the professional point of view I was interested in fashion defile. But I think the whole event was a good occasion for everyone to come and meet people to talk over the glass of light drink in a pleasant atmosphere.

And what about the magazine, which was presented? Could you describe in a couple of words what is it about?

-    This is a magazine for modern women. Covers all the different topics. It is a great “company” and guide in the world of modern women.

And which part of the program did you like the most?

-    By virtue of being a designer, of course, the main action of the evening had been a defile. I’m trying to find new designer solutions or just little inspiring details. That’s why all my attention was attracted by runway.
 
Was something interesting presented on fashion show?

-    Actually, yes. There was not bad collection presented by Denny Rose. It was positive and light, saying that the harmony and Spring had come. And what I appreciated the most – the clothes were universal but charming and elegant. No one woman stayed indifferent, as there were all kinds of clothes- dresses, skirts, jackets, etc. At the end there was an underwear collection presented. It was difficult to get the whole conception of this show, but from the point of view of promotion it was fine.

 What is the key to success of the fashion defile?

-    The success depends of course on talent of designer, how precisely he can predict the desires of customer. And in this case the loud critique is also a win, it`s my personal opinion. But as any event it can suffer or gain positive points from the way it`s organized. Tonight everything was perfect from music to light and so on. I would also say that models were performing their roles perfectly.
